Cassandre Rope Handle Ceramic Mug

A wide-flared ceramic cup in glossy jet-black, rising to an irregular wavy rim and set on a short folded footed base with a textured surface. A large sculpted white rose is applied to the front wall in layered relief, its petals soft and matte against the surrounding high-shine glaze. The interior is black, and a thick braided rope-style handle extends from the upper rim down toward the foot, its deep twisted ridges sculpted rather than applied.

The silhouette is deliberately asymmetrical—the flared cone, the folded foot, and the heavy rope handle each sit off-balance against the others, so the cup reads as much sculpture as a vessel. The white rose and the twisted handle are the only ornament, and both are structural rather than decorative add-ons.
