An organically formed ceramic mug in glossy jet-black, its walls left deliberately uneven and its top rim cut in an irregular wavy scallop. Two outlined roses are worked across the curved surface—one upper left, one lower right—rendered in raised off-white slip rather than solid color, so the petals read as contour linework against the black. A classic curved handle sits to one side, and the interior is solid black.
The body carries a hammered, wrinkled texture beneath the glaze, giving the surface a gentle unevenness that catches light across the whole form. The white rose outlines sit slightly proud of the glaze, adding brushstroke relief without breaking the glossy finish.
Darkly romantic in character, with the drama of a Victorian parlor reworked in contemporary ceramic. Suits moody, maximalist, and dark romantic interiors, and works equally well as a daily mug or a decorative object on open shelving.
