A open ceramic dessert bowl in glossy creamy-white, monochromatic throughout with no contrasting tone. A continuous band of sculpted roses and leaves wraps around the upper exterior just below the rim, with multiple full blooms interspersed with foliage. The bowl has a ruffled scalloped top rim, a rounded body that tapers downward, and a short flared pedestal foot finished with a scalloped bottom edge.
The interior and main body are smooth and reflective, while the rose band is heavily raised, each petal and leaf holding crisp sculpted contours that catch light against the glaze. No printed or painted motif appears on the piece.
Rooted in rococo-revival and romantic traditional style, the compote works as a fruit bowl, a table centrepiece, or a display piece on a sideboard.
