A circular ceramic plate in glossy creamy-white, with a subtle multi-notched scalloped outer rim, a gently raised narrow lip, and a flat wide inner surface. A dense crescent-shaped bouquet of multi-sized open roses and leaves occupies the left-hand rim section, while the rest of the plate remains unembellished, leaving the negative space to balance the ornament.
The plate base is polished and smooth, while the rose appliqués are deeply dimensional with heavy petal layering that stands substantially proud of the surface. No printed or painted detail appears on the piece.
Rooted in rococo-revival and romantic traditional style, the plate works as a display object on a shelf or sideboard, or as a serving piece for a considered table.
