A cast-iron candle holder formed as a kneeling fairy, one arm raised to hold a taper aloft. The hair and the long dress are all outlined with natural arcs. The veins of the wings, the folds of the clothes, the facial contours and the petal decorations around the cup are all detailed with fine cast iron work. The overall color is pure matte black. The castings' relief patterns create a sense of depth, outlining the wings, the pleats of the skirt, and the flower-shaped cup body.
